Spencer and Samantha are a young couple that came to us full of bright ideas, genuine excitement, and unique visions, but needed help to execute these details for their wedding day. Wanting to get married in the fall, they desired a warm overall feeling and wanted to include accents from the season such as pumpkins, beautiful blush and wine-colored touches, and pops of antique décor to make this feeling come to life. As we got to know them further, we realized Samantha’s love of candles and flowers and Spencer’s desire for a sense of “moodiness” to come through with the suits and venue. With all this in mind, the perfect venue was chosen, and we got to work designing the perfect wedding reception and ceremony for this unique couple.
Originally built in 1916 and now a historical piece of Indiana, Laurel Hall was the gorgeous setting chosen for this wedding. With grand staircases, antique furniture throughout, marble and wood flooring, huge fireplaces in nearly every room, stunning arches, and plotted on an enchanting and beautiful 6 acres, this venue could not have been a better choice for what this couple was looking for. Vendors to fulfill the needs for this big day were carefully selected so that each aspect of the wedding would be at its most beautiful in every way.
As we began to execute all of our plans, we kept in mind every detail and made sure to fill the rooms with thoughtful pieces, so it felt personalized to the bride and groom. The fireplaces were filled with antique picture frames, some filled with the bride and groom and others filled with their parents and grandparents on their wedding days, along with candles and pumpkins. The tables were set with a rich wine-colored table runner filled with beautiful greenery, candles, lights, wine bottles, and more pumpkins. The bride and groom’s table complimented the other tables with a pop of the wine color, along with shimmering golds and a stunning floral arrangement all along the edge of the table. The ceremony had a simplistic elegance to it, as we didn’t want to take away from the beauty of the room itself. At the end of the isle, you would find a brilliant and bright floral arch to tie everything that was happening in the reception area together to the ceremony.
